Wow. Macrolicious. I've gained a wild adiction now with macro - not because it's incredibly original or anything, which it isn't, but because so often the results are absolutely amazing. This is the first of many, folks. Give me time.
By the way, if you want a larger version (roughly twice the size, full quality), send me a message - we can work something out for sure.
ahh the unhidden world of macro... I love macro, I just can't get enough lighting to use my macro lens that much. Need to get a macro ring flash or something.
This pic is awesome, just goes to show how much make up gets in a person's eye
I was actually interested by the fact that the makeup was in her eye, alot of people don't see that side of wearing makeup. I wonder how bad it is for the eye and if it causes damage?
Still, awesome macro shot... Can you see the dots on the contact lens in person w/o the macro lens? Assuming its colored contact right?
I guess you're right - I don't think it'd do any damage, though, you'd think it would have some up in courts by now considering people try to sue Apple when they lose some hearing while listening to their iPods too loud.
Anyways - No, you can't see the dots at all without a lense - that's why we were in awe once we opened up the image. I'm not sure if it's a colored contact - likely, but I'll ask.
Yea, that's what I said when I first zoomed in on the camera! They are indeed. I'm about to put up another one in which, if I'm thinking of the right one, you can see the edge of the contact. I'm fascinated.
That's actually just with a Pentax Optio S50. I got mine refurbished for (unbelievably) $120 CAD, a great deal considering retail is at least $100 more, and was $200-300 more last year. I recommend it if you can get your hands on it, once you get the settings down the possibilities are endless.

Next time we do the eye thing it'll be at her house where she has all the makeup in the workd at her disposal.
